We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher to work with our Y9–13 special needs students. An understanding of working with students with learning challenges, an empathetic nature and flexible attitude are required. You would be working as part of a team, so strengths in building relationships with students, whānau and colleagues is essential. Experience with curriculum adaptation would be an asset, as would strengths in Supported Learning Units.
It will be expected that you ensure the physical and emotional safety of students by adhering to Individual Health Plans, communicating with whānau and outside agencies when necessary and giving direction to teacher aides.
