Lead teacher – junior syndicate

We are looking for an experienced and motivated teacher to join our leadership team! We wish to appoint an energetic, creative and enthusiastic lead teacher for our junior school  (Y1–3); someone who will inspire our learners, both our students and our teachers, to realise their full potential.

As the junior team leader you will be supported and mentored to build and maintain collaborative, innovative learning relationships with our children, colleagues and whānau over the Y1–3 area of our school. You will teach a class of year 1 and 2  students.  There will be support from the leadership team and some leadership release (0.06) to help build your capacity.

We are a unique and diverse small school ( roll 207), decile 5, in Birkdale on the North Shore of Auckland.  We are fortunate to have a wide range of cultures including our Māori whānua class, Ngā Muka, and our French bilingual classes, L’Étoile du Nord., We have a positive, collaborative school culture, with a passionate team who strive to provide a broad range of engaging experiences for all our students.

You will be a key member of the school’s leadership team, helping to guide our school as we develop our local curriculum in 2021, ensuring that we are providing authentic, culturally responsive learning experiences and success for all our students.

Our ideal candidate would be highly organised, have a great sense of humour and a love of learning,  If you are an experienced junior school teacher with strengths in literacy, looking to grow into a leadership role we would love for you to be part of our team.
