French Bilingual NE–Y2 teacher. Fixed-term terms 1–4, 2021.

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated French speaking teacher to join L’Étoile du Nord, our French bilingual team. There are three classes in L’Étoile du Nord catering for students yrs 0-6. At present our french classes are taught using French for three days and English for two. All teaching is based on the New Zealand Curriculum.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a highly committed and collegial team.

We are a small school in Birkdale, on Auckland’s North Shore, which is moving forward with e-learning, literacy and numeracy. Our PD focus for 2021 is on both e-learning and local curriculum development.

Our ideal candidate would be familiar with the New Zealand Curriculum, have New Zealand teacher registration, have good communication skills and be willing to continue to learn collaboratively with colleagues. New Zealand trained would be an advantage.

Our school is part of a Kahui Ako and welcomes teachers who are excited to collaborate across schools to achieve success for all learners.
