We are looking for a New Zealand qualified and certificated early childhood teacher to join our team. This is a permanent part-time position working in a centre with 2–5-year-olds and a licence for 40 children. Initially it will be for 20 hours, but may build to 30 hours according to team needs. Note we are open 7.30am to 5.30pm – you must be able to be flexible within these hours.
We are looking for someone who: enjoys a laugh and can have fun in their work; is enthusiastic; is flexible; enjoys working in a dedicated small team; who wants to teach rather than do crowd control; who is can follow the children's lead in their learning, but can also initiate provocations to inspire those who may need some help; who is creative, and who can work within established routines. Experience with planning and assessment would be great, but if you are a new graduate – we are happy to help you learn.
For the right person we offer – good teacher/child ratios; birthdays off; quality time with the children; regular coffee runs; a consistent team, regular rostered non-contact time and a work/life balance.
If this sounds like a position you could be interested in, please do get in touch and let's see if we can work together.
