We are continuing our well-known and successful Raranga Matihiko programme and are looking for a passionate and creative digital educator to take on this integral and rewarding role at New Zealand’s most important historic place, the Waitangi Treaty Grounds in a full-time, fixed-term capacity.

To be successful in this role you must be passionate about learning, be a talented and experienced NZ registered kaiako who engages innovative learning and digital technology to make a real difference to the communities you work with. You are confident in working with groups of tauira of all ages and from all backgrounds, and you have particular experience in working with and teaching in a Māori medium context. You will collaborate on the development and take an active role in the delivery of dynamic digital learning programmes for kaiako and tauira from local schools and kura. Fluency in te reo Māori, confidence in tikanga Māori and the ability to deliver in te reo Māori is essential.

You will support the development and delivery of Māori medium programmes integrating Te Marautanga o Aotearoa, te ao Maori and the taonga at the Waitangi Treaty Grounds. You will also collaborate with team members to support embedding Matauranga Maori concepts in other learning programmes. You will help further develop our relationship with kura Māori, immersion and bilingual units and kohanga reo.

We offer a friendly and supportive work environment, with opportunities for personal and professional development, and are in one of the most beautiful locations in New Zealand.

If you are confident you’re the person we are looking for, apply now!
