Y7–8 teacher

Thank you for your interest in our position of Y7–-8 teacher, fixed-term 2021, full-time, to start at the beginning of the 2021 school year. This position arises from a variety of reasons but predominantly roll-growth. It is fixed-term as our school is redeveloping, as explained in this letter, and our staffing profile may change in response to this.

Our Y7 and Y8 learners are together for 15 hours a week in our tāhuhu core curriculum. Learners experience the core curriculum both from a lead teacher working with their specific class and from grouping across the classes. This flexibility is designed to create security of relationships and meet diverse learning needs. Therefore we seek a Y7–8 teacher with expertise in accelerating learning both by working individually with a set group of learners and collaboratively with flexible groupings. We seek a teacher who brings their own strengths to the team and is skilled in working in complex environments where interdependence is the norm and welcomed.
