HPSTA is likely to apply to this position
Our school is located on the outskirts of Tokoroa. We have a beautiful location on the edge of town with great facilities and a lovely campus. We are currently going through a period of transformation in all aspects of our school, this is an exciting journey! We are two years into this process with 2021 seeing some consolidation and grow.
We are interested in applications from those with a growth mindset, interested in school transformation and who are willing to be leaders of change. The successful applicants will be excited by the opportunity to deliver a future-focused and holistic education – they will be pedagogically progressive, form effective professional relationships and be keen to contribute to the all-round education of our students.
I would recommend a visit to our school to talk through this position and how you would fit into our diverse team.
We are devoted to providing our students with the best education and opportunities, because quite simply they deserve nothing less! We actively work alongside our community and schools in South Waikato and we are proudly part of the Tokoroa Kahui Ako.
Tokoroa is a fabulous place to live and work! School housing is available for these positions.
This position is for an experienced teacher who ideally has primary school teaching experience and can confidently teach in a homeroom situation catering to the needs of a group of diverse learners. This is a trial using Urgent Response Funding to re-engage learners and to cater to their needs in one space. You will be working in a space with two teacher aides and about 20 to 25 Y9 and 10 students. It is important you are able to work with Māori and Pasifika students in a culturally responsive manner.
