We are looking for someone to lead with influence supporting the translation of policy into the design of services and implementation for the sector.

Our team is the key interface between schools, kura and communities. We work collaboratively to operationalise strategic change and support the sector to implement key initiatives on the front line.

Our aim is to put children and young people at the heart of the education system and encourage all New Zealanders to participate in lifelong learning.

About the person

We are looking for a responsive and dynamic leader with a persistent and positive attitude. You will need to be self-driven with the ability to deliver quality work at pace.

We are looking for teachers or education leaders with experience leading significant change within their schools, or their communities. Exceptional interpersonal, problem-solving and communication skills is required. You’ll be joining a high-performing team with a culture of constructive open-minded debate and working together to make a positive impact.

We are looking for someone with practical knowledge and experience to provide strategic leadership within the Network and School Delivery group. Sensitivity to cultural values and a good understanding of the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi is a must.

Experience and qualifications:

• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent level of practical experience
• A sound understanding of the education sector is essential.
