An exciting opportunity as principal / teacher has become available at our wonderful  small rural school. We are looking for a dedicated Principal, or an experienced teacher aspiring to fulfil this role and take the next step in your education career. 

We are looking for an inspirational leader, who has exceptional management skills and is passionate about individual students learning and wellbeing. Someone who will bring new initiatives  and commit to ensuring the best possible outcomes for all of our students’. We need someone with enthusiasm, willing to build on professional development for our students and staff, to create a positive environment within the school and wider community. 

Our small rural school has the most picturesque views, with an amazing playground, enormous field, with beautiful surrounding farmland. You can enjoy a relaxing rural  lifestyle and we are also central to beautiful lakes, mountains, only an hour or twos drive to the most amazing places, the Catlins, Te Anau, Queenstown, Wanaka, just to name a few. 

The school is involved with Kahui Ako, (Community of Learning), which helps you get involved with other principals’ and teachers’. The Y7–8 programme and technology, which gives the senior students interaction with other rural schools’ and helps to build leadership skills. All students enjoy interacting with other rural schools’ in sporting events, activities and local organised events, which we are lucky to have fantastic local resources in our area. 

You will be responsible for a small staff of a junior classroom teacher, office administrator and other service staff alongside a dedicated board.
