Two fixed term teacher positions are available at Te Wharekura o Mauao for 2021. The positions are for teaching from Y9 to 13 level with some scope to teach in the Year 7 and 8 program. Familiarity with Te Marautanga o Aotearoa and the NZC is essential, so is fluency in speaking and expertise in teaching all subjects in Te Reo Māori. Sound knowledge of and an affinity for Tauranga Moana history and customs is a must. These are the main subjects the applicants must be confident in: te reo Māori, the arts, social sciences, business studies, technology. The applicants will also need to be either already confident or confident in learning: inquiry, differentiated learning, and holistic pastoral care. These positions require a lot of commitment inside and outside of the classroom. These positions are from January 2021 to January 2022.
