We are a leading independent school situated in Hamilton that has a commitment to providing education of the highest quality for its students. With a roll of 780 students – of whom just under half are boarders, the school also operates an outdoor experience for its Y10 students for 6 months at its Tihoi Venture Campus on the western side of Lake Taupo.
We seek an inspirational, dedicated and innovative teacher who will share in the school’s drive for student success to join our social science faculty to teach history. The successful applicant will need to be able to teach junior social studies and must have experience with teaching NCEA history. The ability to teach Scholarship would also be an advantage.
A high level of ICT skills is required of applicants as all school students use either Chromebooks or laptops as an integral part of their learning. As with all teaching positions at our school, successful candidates will be required to contribute to the school’s co-curricular programme through involvement in both a summer and a winter sport or activity.
Our class sizes are relatively small, and our students are motivated and self-disciplined. Staff enjoy the added benefits of working in park-like grounds and are provided with cooked lunches.
