Our amazing deputy principal has won a position as a principal and so we are looking for a new DP who is equally outstanding. We are a semi-rural school with a supportive community and Board of Trustees. Our staff are committed to our learners, their whānau and our place of learning.
Our next deputy principal will have the following skills and attributes:
Proven leadership experience
Excellent pedagogical and curriculum knowledge
Ability to build strong relationships with learners, staff, whānau and external agencies
Effective and respectful communicator
Places learners at the heart of all decision making processes
The ability to think, plan strategically and engage others in a meaningful way
The ability to work collaboratively alongside the principal, staff and Board of Trustees
The ability to analyse and reflect on data to improve teaching and learning
SENCO experience including establishing Gifted and Talented Programmes
Coaching to develop professional capability and collective capacity to improve outcomes for our learners
Knowledge of and commitment to culturally sustaining practices
Commitment to our schools vision, values, whakatauki and strategic direction
Actively involved in school life.
