We are a whānau-like, well-resourced school on Auckland’s North Shore. The school caters for students with special needs aged between 5–21 years of age. It currently operates with 13 base school classes (2 transition), 11 satellite classes and 3 transition classes.
We are wanting enthusiastic team players who are highly competent and reflective. We need classroom teachers who can provide motivating experiences to foster student engagement and promote student agency. We seek someone strong in forming and maintaining effective working relationships with students, whānau and colleagues. A sense of fun is essential!
Successful applicants need to be able to build positive, safe and caring learning environments that promote wellbeing and welcome a whole learning community that includes families and whānau, involvement, they need to be prepared to work in any area of our school.
Applications will be accepted from excellent classroom practitioners, preferably with up to date knowledge and understanding of special education pedagogy and assessment.
