Our school tamariki, staff and community are seeking a highly effective, passionate and forward-thinking principal who is dedicated to enabling all students, and specifically our Māori children, to achieve excellence by providing a positive platform for learning and achievement.

You will be kind, caring and know the names of our children. You will know how to have fun and your day will be filled with laughter. You will role-model our school values and display mana as you engage with our tamariki, whanau and staff. This will require you to have the energy and work ethic to drive our school forward while ensuring you are not desk-bound. That means strong interpersonal skills and able to develop and maintain meaningful relationships with staff, parents, and students; a team builder who is visible, hands on, and involved.

You will recognise the unique place of Te Ao Māori in developing our tamariki’s understanding of Aotearoa using te reo and tikanga Māori in your practice. You will be committed to an inclusive approach that meets the needs of our most vulnerable tamariki. You will strive for excellence in achievement, both inside and outside of the classroom while making good choices for our school that provides opportunities for tamariki to be leaders, athletes, culturally strong, performing artists, and technology competent.

You will demonstrate the ability to generate high quality and consistent education outcomes for all learners; staff, students and their parents/whānau. Be an excellent communicator who listens to and collaboratively engages with all staff, students and their parents, and trustees, to meet the needs and aspirations of the school’s community.

You will show a strong emphasis of AROHA in all that you do, while maintaining the best of what we already have.
