Kimi Ora School is a school for high/very high needs students aged 5-21. Our base school is situated in Naenae and we have three satellite classes within the Naenae/Taita/Woburn area as well as a satellite unit on the grounds of Evans Bay Intermediate.
We seek an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our team of Occupational Therapists to cover parental leave from 2 February 2021 to 14 December 2021.
This position will be based in the Naenae/Taita/Woburn area but will need to have the flexibility to work at other sites in the future.
Experience of working with students with complex needs in a transdisciplinary team is essential. A knowledge of wheelchairs and seating is desired and skills around working with individuals with high needs to access meaningful occupation. We will offer the successful candidate ongoing support and professional development in all aspects of the role.
You will work within a transdisciplinary team and be an active part of school routines and events. Riding for the Disabled and hydrotherapy sessions are integral parts of the job.
This is a salaried position; with work required during the school holidays for planning and preparation.
