We are an innovative and progressive rural state boarding school (Y9–13) which provides programmes and guidance to support the various learning cultures of our 485 students.

As part of the language department, te reo Māori has developed within the school in recent years. 

The aim of the school is to develop culturally responsive leaders, and teachers who will teach in culturally responsive ways so that Māori can learn and succeed as Māori.

The school is fully committed to improve Māori student achievement and participated in the He Kakano programme.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic te reo Māori teacher who is able to teach Y9–13 students and use a range of assessment methods as well as continue to drive its success. 0.35 FTTE or similar.
