We are a well resourced coeducational school in Whangarei of approximately 950 students. We believe in building respectful and meaningful relationships with our community and value both whakapono (building integrity and trust) and aroha (practicing compassion and respect) to inspire our students to aspire to be the best versions of themselves both personally and academically.
Our school is community-focused and we encourage all staff to contribute to the varied learning opportunities that are offered to students in such an environment.
We are seeking a teacher to work in the learning support area, who has deep knowledge of supporting learners with high needs, and is able to support, develop and deliver programmes for our learners who require extra support, from Y9 through to Y13. The teacher will work with the SENCO, other professionals and families/whānau to design, implement and monitor individual education plans relevant to individual learners.
We are looking for a teacher who understands manaakitanga and whanaungatanga, and has high expectations of their students. We are also looking for applicants who value student agency and student voice.
