Exciting opportunity for key leadership roles with Kindergarten Taranaki.

We are seeking two leaders who will ensure tamariki, whānau and kaiako thrive and benefit. Where everyone’s skills, abilities and contributions are integral to achieving the collective aspirations of our learning community.

  • Support the strategy of Kindergarten Taranaki – providing professional and strategic leadership to teaching teams
  • Inspire and motivate teaching teams to continually improve the quality of teaching and learning
  • Provide professional leadership and robust dialogue with teaching teams to ensure teaching and learning is based on current pedagogy
  • Design and plan culturally responsive curriculum that supports the local community
  • Able to design innovative processes and systems that are informed by Te Ao Māori worldview/Enviroschools principles and current research
  • Foster genuine and meaningful relationships with local hapū and iwi and diverse community groups
  • Support collaborative relationships across the education sector and actively engage in national policy and priorities
  • Support and expand collaborative relationships with outside agencies
  • Confident in the use of te reo and tikanga Māori
  • Be a progressive thinker to overcome complexities and challenges
