Are you an aspiring and inspiring teacher, manager and leader looking for an opportunity to make a tangible difference in our school community?
Our college is an Anglican boarding and day school, established in 1875 by the Williams family of missionaries, and has a proud and long history of successful education based upon our rich Māori and Christian principles of living which provide us with a clear foundation and direction.
We welcome enquiries from applicants who have a proven record of being successful in building the capabilities of staff and students’ through proactive, positive relationships; expert teacher practice, sound management systems; inspiring, clear leadership; and who have the passion to lift the wellbeing and achievement of our students so they become young women equipped with the dispositions and competencies to develop as well-rounded citizens.
The college is one of two of New Zealand’s oldest Anglican Māori boarding schools and we seek a leader who can take us into the future utilising the strengths of our English and Māori contexts to be the best we can be.
We are a real home-away-from-home for all our students who come from all over New Zealand and there is potential to further grow the day and boarding student rolls. Our hostel provides onsite accommodation for student’s Y9–13 and we also have a bus service for local students to attend as day students.
Set in the tranquil Eskdale Valley only 15 minutes from Napier in a beautiful rural setting, our college offers the best of both worlds.
Start date: term 1, 25 January 2021.
