Are you looking for that next step in your career pathway, are you a natural leader, do you have a passion to lead, develop and inspire people? We have an amazing opportunity to undertake the centre supervisor role on a fixed-term/secondment contract for 8 months.
Ngā Tamariki is a not-for-profit community-based childcare centre, which has a family focus and an amazing community. We have a team of long standing, highly driven and passionate teachers, with great work conditions. Our teacher to child ratio ensures small group sizes and a calm nurturing environment where quality interactions, education and play are at the forefront of every child’s day

As a passionate leader, you will wear many hats to allow you to manage in an ever-evolving environment and be adaptable to meet a variety of needs as they occur. You will have a strong 'on the floor' presence, providing mentoring and role modelling of exceptional teaching practice to the rest of your team.

This is an opportunity to grow in your leadership experience working in a high-quality centre with lots of support from our centre board and management team.

The following skills, knowledge and capabilities are ideally required for this role:

• Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to develop, coach and lead a team to deliver exceptional learning opportunities
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to and/or build a high performing, positive, and engaged team culture
• Familiarity with the New Zealand Education Council, ERO, MOE requirements, Licensing Criteria, 2008 Regulations and Code of Ethics
• Innovative, resilient, committed, passionate and enthusiastic!
