We are seeking to appoint a talented and motivated teacher of visual art to teach in our middle (Y7–10) and senior (Y11–13) schools. This is a full-time, fixed-term appointment (parental leave) commencing at the start of term 1, January 2021, through until the end of term 4, December 2021.

Our college is a world-class independent school with a strong Presbyterian heritage.  Based in the Eastern suburbs of Wellington, New Zealand, our college offers a vibrant learning environment, encouraging excellence in every facet of education. The college is proud of its dedicated staff who work hard to support and encourage the students. The school environment is strong and the staff work closely with parents to obtain the best outcomes for their children.

As an IB World School, Scots is comprised of three schools in one; Preparatory (boys Y1–6), middle (boys Y7-10) and senior (coeducational Y 11–13). From January 2021, all three schools will be coeducational. Our vision is to equip students with a future focused education and we recognise that working in groups, thinking critically and solving problems are just as important as the knowledge we give them. A Scots education equips each student to thrive now and in their futures, to learn. For life.

We offer a dual pathway for our senior students, both NCEA and the IB Diploma. The College is fully authorised for the delivery of both the Diploma and Middle Years Programmes. Experience teaching these programmes would be highly advantageous, although not essential.

Attributes required of the successful candidate can be found on our website.

If you are motivated by the prospect of being a part of a dynamic teaching environment and would enjoy the challenges of this exciting role, then we would be delighted to hear from you.

How to apply
