We are looking for a passionate, inspiring head teacher who can demonstrate respect, kindness, integrity and positivity within their teaching practice.

You will need to have proven team leadership experience and be ECE qualified with current certification and above all else, believe in the potential and well being of all children and staff.

You will be leading a team of committed, consistent, experienced teachers in our beautiful, homely purpose-built centre which has separate indoor and outdoor spaces for up to 12 under twos year olds

To be successful we require:

• Bachelor of Teaching (ECE) or Graduate Diploma in ECE
• Full teachers’ registration
• An experienced teacher and an inspiring leader with proven team leadership experience
• Knowledge of RIE philosophy
• Excellent communication skills; writing, speaking and listening
• Self-management skills; planning, organising, time management and punctuality
• Passionate about creating inspiring, beautiful environments; igniting wonder, curiosity and stimulating learning experiences
• Sound knowledge of child development, especially 0–2 year olds
• A happy, motivated, and enthusiastic can-do attitude!
• Confidence and commitment to working in collaboration with parents and families
• Keen professional knowledge of planning, assessment and self-review
• An ability to build community and parental engagement
• A strong understanding of Te Whāriki, and commitment to working with staff and parents to achieve continuous improvement and progress
• Enthusiasm towards personal development, particularly regarding team leadership and management.
