We are looking for 2 outstanding kaiako, fluent in te reo Māori, and committed to delivering and innovating a culturally responsive learning experience to the tamariki of our kura. The 2 fixed-term teaching positions will begin 12 October till the end of 2020 with the possibility of longer-term employment.
We are currently re-discovering our stories together, as we re-imagine our bilingual kaupapa and our Te Tiriti commitment alongside our community, whānau and tamariki. These teachers will have sound knowledge of literacy, numeracy and the New Zealand Curriculum.
Our new kaiako will also share our innovative outdoor teaching and learning spaces, gardens and playgrounds – Te Puna Taiao – and support work to use the spaces to improve hauora, identity and educational achievement. Successful candidates will join a passionate team of valued educational leaders, as well as have access to opportunities and training to support their career development aspirations.
If the opportunities and challenges of our way-finding journey excite you, then nau mai, haere mai! We'd love to hear from you.
