Are you an experienced head teacher, team leader or centre manager looking for a new opportunity in the Waikato? We are looking for an extraordinary person to lead our early learning centre in Morrinsville.

This centre is licenced for 50 children. It offers a transition to school programme and a weekly playgym gymnastics programme which the tamariki love. Connecting children with nature is a priority and sustainable habits are also encouraged.

As a passionate and experienced leader, you will wear many hats to allow you to manage in an ever-evolving environment and be adaptable to meet a variety of needs as they occur.

The following skills, knowledge and capabilities are ideally required for this role:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to develop, coach and lead a team to deliver exceptional learning opportunities
  • Outstanding time management and organisational skills
  • Superb communication skills both written and verbal with the capability of building strong and lasting relationships with families and the wider community
  • Initiative, desire and passion for quality practice standards and commitment to the principles of Te Whāriki
  • Familiarity with the New Zealand Education Council, ERO, MOE requirements, Licensing Criteria, 2008 Regulations and Code of Ethics
  • A comprehensive understanding of how to maintain and grow occupancy levels
  • Innovative, resilient, committed, passionate and enthusiastic!
