We are seeking an inspired educator to lead the commerce department for the senior school (Y11–13), as well as being willing to teach in the middle school (Y7–10). This is a full-time appointment which will commence in time for the start of Term 1, January 2021.
Our college is a world-class independent school with a strong Presbyterian heritage. Based in the Eastern suburbs of Wellington, New Zealand, Scots offers a vibrant learning environment, encouraging excellence in every facet of education. The College is proud of its dedicated staff who work hard to support and encourage the students. The school environment is strong and the staff work closely with parents to obtain the best outcomes for their children.
As an IB World School, Scots has a proud 104 year history in education and is comprised of three schools in one; preparatory (Y1–6), middle (Y7–10) and senior (Y11–13). From January 2021, all three schools will be co-educational. This is an exciting new chapter for us. Our vision is to provide students with a future focused education and we recognise that working in groups, thinking critically and solving problems are just as important as the knowledge we give them. We have never been afraid to embrace change and believe that a Scots education equips each student to thrive now and in their futures, to learn. For life.
Our college offers a dual pathway for its senior students offering both NCEA and the IB Diploma. The college is fully authorised for the delivery of the Diploma Programme and the Middle Years Programme. Experience teaching either or both of these programmes would be advantageous.
