Te Rito Maioha Early Childhood New Zealand has been a leading provider of ECE teacher education for 40 years and provides new knowledge, fresh thinking and best practice for early childhood education and care. As academic leader you will provide leadership to your postgraduate programmes team based on a sound understanding of pedagogical theory and research underpinning specialist teacher education. The role will lead and generate ongoing enquiry, dialogue amongst teaching staff to support their work, research and inform ongoing programme review.

You have a strong understanding of and commitment to organisational quality, providing leadership to the postgraduate curriculum support team. You will also need to be knowledgeable, have proven experience in application of distance learning principles, online blended delivery solutions to support other members of ECNZ and external parties to ensure successful outcomes.

You will be a well-regarded ECE and tertiary education sector leader, someone with heart, drive, extraordinary high emotional intelligence balanced with a sound track record in research and publications and excellence in academic writing. You will be a natural working effectively with internal and external stakeholders. You will also have a deep understanding of how to successfully incorporate te ao Māori into organisations.
