An opportunity to join the team of Ngā Manukura, the Māori bilingual unit, whose vision is to develop children who know who they are and are able to successfully walk in both Māori and Pakeha worlds. Central to their teaching is expanding each child’s kete by building their skills within the context of te reo and tiikanga Māori.  The bilingual unit is open to all tamariki no matter their ethnicity or te reo experience.  As a school they value diversity and are focussed on giving children a wide variety of learning opportunities and the best opportunity to achieve.

The school are looking for a team player, who has the skills and knowledge to work in a level 3 bilingual unit. There is flexibility with the age group and will be determined by the successful teacher’s strengths. MITA allowance available. Start date is negotiable.
