As we are increasing our enrolments, our centre is looking for a qualified, registered teacher to join our small, friendly team. This 30-hour position would suit someone looking for school hours or to have a better work-life balance.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting children in their preparation for school and life. Our curriculum focuses largely on supporting social and emotional competence in our tamariki and our kaiako believe providing a consistent routine and firm boundaries to give our tamariki a predictable environment. Experience in using Incredible Years Teaching would be advantageous but not necessary.
As a centre that is becoming intentional in connecting with our local community, we would love a kaiako that is enthusiastic about providing walks and excursions for children and planning experiences for children both in the centre and in the neighbourhood.
This position would suit a newly graduated or provisionally registered teacher or a registered teacher returning to early childhood and wanting a highly supportive environment. The successful applicant would be expected to support the centre in planning and assessment with generous non-contact hours, attend paid staff meetings and become a part of a team that is positive and passionate about building Naenae's neighbourhood heroes.
As part of our centre, you would receive coaching, observations and mentoring, regular 1:1 meetings and support in registration and teacher inquiry, Competitive wage rate, Uniform, childcare discounts, car park, obtaining & renewal of Education Council cert fees, and more........
As a centre that is trying to become more sustainable, we use a combination of Storypark, Infocare and Safety Nest to minimise paperwork and take advantage of digital technologies.
