We require a youth mentors’ coach to encourage mentors with facilitating group activities they’re skilled in at schools and agencies in Hawke's Bay.

Every student needs opportunities to be understood and discover their unique capabilities and self-identity. Different activities give principals creative ways to help children realise their aptitudes and increase self-confidence. Youth mentors create safe places and facilitate practical activities where children feel they can be trusted and belong. We offer regional wananga and team get-togethers where mentors and coaches interact, share positive experiences and solve work issues together. By identifying skills of youth mentors, you’ll facilitate new partnerships with schools and local agencies.

The position is part-time and requires a positive can-do attitude. A background in teaching is required. Facilitation or coaching skills would be an advantage.

Travel expenses are paid as well as an hourly rate.
