We seek a culturally responsive, enthusiastic, innovative, highly motivated, organised NZAC registered guidance counsellor to lead our well-regarded guidance team. Our lead counsellor will promote a mana enhancing approach as lead and as a vital member of the student support team.
Our lead counsellor will be forward-thinking, have excellent people skills and will be able to maintain networks with external agencies and ensure delivery of programmes that meet the pastoral and well-being needs of our diverse student body. You will be a visible and important part of our school community, with a commitment to the wider life of the school.
The role includes the provision of advocacy to promote student success, preventative services to ensure the wellbeing and safety of all students and full participation in the delivery of a comprehensive school counselling programme that addresses the mental/emotional health of students as well as their academic and personal/social needs.
