Waiau is a small contributing primary school in rural North Canterbury. We are looking for a teacher to work in our forward-thinking school, with a negotiated start date. We are a well-supported growing school in an exciting and vigorous rebuilding phase. This position could be full or part-time, depending on the needs of the successful applicant.

We are currently embedding our kua ū ki te ako philosophy at our school.

We seek a teacher who displays a growth mindset, solid curriculum knowledge, and never ending motivation for continued improvement. We are looking for a collaborative risk taker who puts students’ learning and well-being first.

The successful applicant will be well supported by our collaborative, humourous, and professional staff, our board of trustees, school whānau and our wider community.

A soon to be refurbished school house is available. Our area is rich in natural beauty, has a wonderful community, and plenty of things to do.

All applicants are encouraged to visit or contact the principal for more information.
