An exciting opportunity has come about for a centre manager to join the team. We are located on the fringe of Wellington City, a perfect location for people based in Lower Hutt or Wellington and we hold a licence for 100 children. We enjoy being able to provide a nurturing and educational environment and have a strong focus on collaboration with children, their whānau and the wider community.

We are looking for an experienced manager who is able to utilise their outstanding leadership skills, be responsible for the day-to-day running of the centre and demonstrate an innovative approach that inspires others to think outside the box and create new and exciting opportunities for the children. You will take direct accountability for the centre performance which includes all financial, compliance, staff management and family/whānau aspects.

Our successful applicant will have the ability and passion to continue to foster positive relationships with staff, tamariki and whanau and demonstrate sound curriculum knowledge.

Our new centre manager will bring:

  • B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher registration
  • Strengths in curriculum, assessment and evaluation
  • Proven success working in a management or supervisory position
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to promote the centre to the local community.

You will have a strong support network every step of the way, including the ongoing support from a business manager around business and staffing aspects as well as a professional services manager around the compliance and curriculum aspects.
