We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher to join our team.
Our kindergartens are operated by Central Kids Early Education, who manage 57 kindergartens and early learning centres throughout the central North Island.
We provide access to high-quality professional development opportunities and ongoing professional support to maintain quality teaching practice. We are party to the kindergarten teachers' collective agreement which provides 6 weeks' annual leave, 9 days' sick leave and ample non-contact/professional time.
Our teams are committed to providing positive outcomes for all tamariki through our rich, natural, warm environment and child-led philosophy.
At this kindergarten we offer many opportunities for tamariki to explore and learn through their own interests, both inside the kindergarten and within the wider community. Becoming more sustainable and connecting tamariki with the wonders of nature is important to us.
We operate Ngahere excursions once a week where our children get to explore a completely natural bush environment, climbing trees, scaling and sliding down banks, working together, and setting their own challenges.
We are looking for a teacher with the following attributes:
A motivated, enthusiastic teacher, who is able to put current theory into practice
Able to demonstrate a working knowledge of Te Whāriki
Able to have robust conversations and work within teams who have a strong emphasis on whakawhanaungatanga as they support each child's social and emotional growth
Committed to creating/maintaining strong, positive relationships within the community and outside agencies
Able to demonstrate a growth mindset, be open and able to flex with change to enable us to continue providing high-quality early education to all tamariki who attend our services
ECE qualified and hold current certification and a current first aid certificate.
