Are you passionate about children and their learning journeys? Are you wanting to be part of an innovative, dedicated and energetic team? Do you aspire to work in a childcare centre where you will feel valued, supported and where children and families come first? If so, we’d love to hear from you!

A wonderful opportunity has arisen for a qualified early childhood kaiako to join our passionate and thriving community-based centre, where it truly is all about the tamariki.
Our centre has:

  • A teaching team which is valued and supported by management and the parent committee
  • Quality ratios, competitive remuneration and professional development opportunities
  • A strong sense of pride in offering a creative environment that encourages learning and adventure as much for our staff as for our tamariki.

We are looking for a qualified early childhood kaiako who has a love for teaching and making a difference to the lives of children through a quality learning environment.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is well organised
  • Is passionate about documenting children’s learning journeys
  • Has a strong knowledge of, and passion for, Te Ao Māori practices
  • Is committed to building warm, nurturing relationships with tamariki, their whānau and other kaiako.

Staff are supported and encouraged to use their individual strengths to take ownership of personal development and extend children’s interests.

This position is a permanent role – Monday to Friday (40 hours per week). Start date can be flexible for the right candidate (around mid July).

The successful applicant will be supported through ongoing mentoring, generous scheduled non-contact time, and a wide range of professional development opportunities.

If you are interested in this role, and the opportunities that we present, then don’t delay in applying. We look forward to hearing from you.
