We are a coeducational school with a roll of approximately 1,700 students and established in 1883. Cambridge is in the heart of the Waikato region and has recently become a focus for elite sport and cycling, triathlon, kayaking and rowing establishing their New Zealand bases here.  Our school serves the interests of the community incredibly well, meeting the academic, trades, cultural and sporting needs of a range of students. Places at CHS are high sought after with families choosing to move into town to gain access to the school.

We have a maternity leave vacancy in our small but dynamic drama department. The successful candidate would ideally be able to teach up to Level 3 drama, but we have some flexibility to re-arrange our school timetable to accommodate the skills and experience of the individual.
The department is well resourced and popular with students with classes at each year level across the school.

Role to start 17 August, or as close to this date as possible
