We are a fast-growing home-based early childhood education service. We are looking for another coordinator teacher to join our team full-time. We are looking for candidates who can speak English and a second language (MANDARIN or SAMOAN or TONGAN).
They will be responsible for:
Visiting children and families
Home safety checks
Writing Learning stories
Organise playgroups and events
Follow up with enrolments.
You will receive an attractive employment package, including a company vehicle and phone, ongoing training, PD and registration support. This role is for 25–30 hours only. The role combines the opportunity to mentor the educators, visit children in their home and includes a strong marketing aspect. We expect that you are actively promoting our services within the community and local child groups so a confident person with an eye for growth is a huge advantage.
Can be provisional or fully registered
Having work experience in the Home-Based Early Childhood sector will be an advantage
A recognised early childhood teaching qualification
A current full practising certificate
A sound understanding of current early learning pedagogical practice
A genuine desire to see children thrive in the home-based environment
Self-motivation and a positively focused approach
Have excellent communication skills and the ability to mentor educators/ nannies whilst they are working in their roles
You will need to be able to ‘think on your feet’ and have excellent knowledge of Te Whāriki and child development.
A current first aid certificate and a clean full NZ driver’s licence
