Our intermediate motto is to “Challenge the margins of time and explore what is beyond” it underpins all that we do. As a result of continued roll increases, we are now seeking a new Assistant Principal who, whilst being a leader first and foremost, is also a passionate educator, dedicated to improving outcomes for all in the area of pastoral care.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, caring professional to join our leadership team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our amazing staff as we enter an exciting period of growth and development.
Knowledge or experience in PB4L, restorative practices, and mindfulness are important. This, combined with a proven record in pastoral care, change management, and success as a teacher are important prerequisites for all applicants. Initiative and the ability to find new ways forward are also essential attributes.
Enhancing student wellbeing and providing outstanding, personalised pastoral care define this role. The ideal candidate will be skilled at building positive relationships with our students and whānau. A passion for Intermediate education will also be important.
A commitment to bicultural education and a track record of catering to the needs of diverse learners and creating an inclusive environment is vital. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are an expectation, as is a desire to grow leadership capacity in yourself and others. The ability to be collaborative in all aspects of the job is essential as you will work with all of the key stakeholders.
