Are you looking for an opportunity to step up and use your teaching expertise to make a difference for ākonga?  Then we have the role for you!

In this role you will work on collaboratively as part of a support team.  You will also support a portfolio of teams to ensure high quality educational outcomes for all ākonga. This includes developing and facilitating professional development at a team and individual level.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Who is open minded, works collaboratively and actively listens
  • Can demonstrate strengths in leadership within education
  • Has experience working in kindergarten and understands/supports its kaupapa
  • Is experienced in mentoring teachers
  • Has a proven track record in developing, leading and implementing high quality educational outcomes for ākonga
  • A strength in bicultural practice and knowledge of Tikanga o Te Ao Māori and the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Has well rounded knowledge and experience in all areas of early childhood education and current theories and practices
  • Has a strong knowledge of effective internal evaluation
  • Has a proven working knowledge of ECE licencing criteria, 2008
  • Has knowledge and understanding of the Enviroschools initiative.

You also must:

  • Have a Bachelor of Education (ECE)
  • Have a current Practicing Certificate (Full)
  • Be confident in using technology.
