We are looking for a kaiako matua, kaupapa Māori, with a focus on early years/curriculum levels 1-5 who understands, and is passionate about, current pedagogy and is able to deliver authentic, learning programmes in an increasingly ākonga directed online environment.
You’ll bring your knowledge and experience of integrating te ao Māori from early years and through curriculum levels 1-5, ideally alongside skills and experience in working with big picture pedagogy, cross-curricular approaches in early childhood and at curriculum levels 1-5 that support development of ākonga skills, knowledge, capabilities and competencies in critical inquiry, perspective taking and taking action
As a big picture school, it's an exciting time at Te Kura as we continue to innovate and transform the way we provide distance learning. As a predominantly online environment, we work with the latest technologies and are constantly growing in this space.
We're forward thinking and do things a little differently, but that doesn't mean no student contact! You'll interact with students at advisories, communicate with them using online tools and guide a group of students as their learning advisor. We are committed to seeing you grow with us and development opportunities often crop up within the school.
