Then this may be the job for you!
We are a vibrant Y1–6 school with 150 tamariki mokopuna, located in the beautiful small town of Wairoa.
We pride ourselves on living and breathing our overarching value – Te Hiringa i te Mahara (Be the best you can be) – by enacting whanaungatanga, ako, manaakitanga and kaitiakitanga.
We are seeking a passionate educator who thrives in junior learning spaces and is committed to:
Creating culturally responsive relationships with ākonga and whānau
Building on the mana of every child
Growing as a professional.
In return, we can offer you:
Awesome, switched-on learners and dedicated staff
A supportive community and experienced Board of Trustees
Strong pedagogical leadership and challenging professional learning.
We will consider applications from any qualified teacher, beginning or experienced, including those from the early childhood sector. For the right person, we are willing to negotiate a start date, however the position is available for an immediate start. Whilst we have to advertise this position as fixed term due to our current staffing entitlement, the position remains ongoing (Board funded if necessary) and has the potential to become permanent in the future.
Feel free to contact the principal if you're interested in applying. School visits are welcomed and encouraged!
