Do you have a passion for working with students with special needs? 

We are looking for a fully registered specialist teacher to join our itinerant Outreach programme supporting ORS funded students in their local schools within the Central Auckland area.  

The ideal applicant will have the skills and ability to collaborate with  classroom teachers, support staff and other specialists to develop and implement effective learning programmes that promote inclusion, success and engagement.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to work cooperatively and flexibly within a team, show initiative, and communicate effectively with a range of others. A sense of humour is essential. Having an inquiry based/problem-solving approach to your work, a passion and enthusiasm for bringing fun and learning together, alongside your knowledge and experience of working with students with autism and complex needs would be an asset. 

You will join an experienced and supportive Outreach team and have access to professional development and ongoing training.
