Our school vision is to provide a quality education in a caring environment. This underpins all that we do. In 2020 we took on the challenge of engaging student learning and raising achievement levels by rethinking our curriculum delivery model. We are subject teaching and have worked hard to ensure our teachers are passionate educators who are experts in their areas. We are now looking for a new deputy principal who is a passionate educator dedicated to improving outcomes for all.
An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, community-focused professional to join our leadership team as we continue to strive for excellence has arisen. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our amazing staff as we enter an exciting period of growth and development. Continuing to enhance our curriculum delivery model and ensure assessment capabilities enable staff to teach and students to learn will be an essential part of the role.
Enhancing student wellbeing and providing outstanding, personalised pastoral care defines this role, so the ideal candidate will be skilled at building positive relationships with our students, whānau and the wider community. Engaging whānau and responding to the diversity of our community will be essential. Being a hands-on person who wants to get into classrooms, demonstrate best practice in teaching and continue to grow professionally will be a valuable skill.
A commitment to bicultural education, and a track record of catering to the needs of diverse learners and creating an inclusive environment are essential. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are an expectation, as is relevant New Zealand experience and a desire to grow leadership capacity in yourself and others.
