Due to our centre manager taking on a new role within our wider organisation, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced centre manager to join our team. 

This position will be effective from April. 

About us:

Our centre is operated by Central Kids Early Education, which manages 55 other kindergartens and early learning centres throughout the central North Island.

We provide access to high-quality professional development, mentoring and leadership opportunities and ongoing professional support to maintain quality teaching practice. 

This centre is situated in the grounds of Knighton Normal School. Due to the proximity of Waikato University, our centre provides quality care and education for children within a short distance of this facility and also for the wider community.

This is a small, intimate centre catering for children from 6 months–6 years.

Our team is committed to providing positive outcomes for all tamariki through our rich, natural, warm environment, primary-care model and child-led philosophy. 

We also value sustainability and work really hard to create an environment that enables a sustainable curriculum and sustainable practices.

We are looking for a leader with the following attributes:

  • Motivated, enthusiastic and able to put current theory into practice
  • Able to have robust conversations with team members and support our experienced team
  • A passion for working within a mixed-age centre, with both U2 and O2 aged tamariki 
  • Able to demonstrate a working knowledge of Te Whāriki
  • Committed to creating/maintaining strong, positive relationships within the team and the wider community
  • Able to demonstrate a growth mindset, be open and willing to change that enables us to continue providing high-quality early education to all tamariki who attend our services
  • ECE qualified and hold current certification and a current first aid certificate.
