We are part of Central Kids Early Education, which operates 55 other kindergartens and centres across the central North Island.
Central Kids provide access to high-quality professional development opportunities and ongoing professional support to maintain quality teaching practice.
We are party to the Kindergarten Teachers' Collective Agreement, which provides 6 weeks' annual leave, 9 days' sick leave and ample non-contact/professional time.
Situated close to the central business district, our kindergarten is well-established and has a strong presence within the wider community.
We respect each child as an individual and believe that our tamariki are powerful, competent and bring with them their own identity, mana (strengths), mohiotanga (knowledge), interest and abilities. Our tamariki are encouraged and supported to be drivers of their own learning.

We are looking for a leader with the following attributes:
A motivated, enthusiastic leader, who is able to put current theory into practice
Able to demonstrate a working knowledge of Te Whāriki
Able to have robust conversations and work with a team who have a strong emphasis on whakawhanaungatanga as they support each child's social and emotional growth
Committed to creating/maintaining strong, positive relationships within the wider community and outside agencies
Able to demonstrate a growth mindset, be open and willing to change that enables us to continue providing high-quality early education to all tamariki who attend our services
ECE qualified and hold current certification and a current first aid certificate.
