Who are we?
HCK have been growing young learners for over 90 years in Lower Hutt, providing quality and affordable early childhood education. Our teaching teams are passionate about providing rich learning environments where children can explore, develop and have fun. We welcome people who can share in that passion.
We are a not-for-profit dedicated to making quality early childhood education accessible to all. We have 19, soon to be 20, kindergartens throughout the Hutt Valley, including Stokes Valley, Central Hutt, Western Hill and Wainuiomata. We are proud to be an integral part of our local community and celebrate our cultural diversity and identity.
About our kindergarten
At our kindergarten children learn through a wide range of play-based experiences. Teachers provide learning experiences which are intentional and relevant to their interests. We value the importance of celebrating the diverse cultures in our community through food, music, dancing and stories – all coming together at 'OUR PLACE'
We are looking for an experienced early childhood educational leader to lead the team, tamariki and whānau at our kindergarten.
The ideal candidate will be an inspirational, creative leader and passionate head teacher

- Minimum of Dip Tch (ECE)
- Full certification
- Current first aid certificate.
