About the role

This is a centre manager opportunity for you to bring your outstanding leadership qualities and your ECE operational management skills, to take our new teaching team to the next level and grow an incredible Pasifika environment for our children.

About the centre

Our ELC is licensed for up to 47 tamariki, including 10 up to 2 years of age. The centre manager leads a team of 4 fully qualified teachers and  educators to help tamariki to explore, learn and discover.   

Our purpose-built centre opened in 2017, and the open-plan design is light and airy with plenty of space. We love the spacious outdoor area, getting together to share kai, and offering staff a great environment to teach in. 

  • Provide leadership to create a fantastic Pasifika environment, embracing the wonder of every child
  • Inspire opportunities for tamariki, staff and whānau to be kaitiaki of their centre
  • Connect and share the centre with whānau and the wider Pasifika community
  • Manage all centre operations, including compliance
  • Lead a highly skilled team, including recruiting and inducting new staff
  • Create opportunities to maximize financial and occupancy targets.

Skills and experience

Our preferred candidate will have a strong background  in Pasifika leadership within the regulations of early childhood education. 

  • ECE qualified (Bachelor or Diploma of Teaching)
  • Fully certificated teacher
  • Highly skilled in building strong relationships with whānau and attracting new families 
  • Strong experience in motivating teaching teams to excel 
  • Initiative, desire and passion for raising the quality of early learning
  • Clear approaches and expectations in planning for children within the framework of Te Whāriki.
