We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced curriculum leader to be part of a progressive and dynamic curriculum team.

This permanent role will have a mixture of responsibilities including curriculum delivery, teaching, and learning. The final portfolio will be confirmed on appointment.

One key part of this role will be the development and day-to-day management of our Y11 programme. In 2019 we launched a new Y11 programme that emphasised preparing our students through the development of 21C skills. This programme involved all students completing a collaborative year-long project as well as a new timetable with reimagined courses delivered in a blended learning environment. NCEA assessment has been significantly reduced to enable students to concentrate on learning and being better prepared for their final 2 years as either an NCEA or IB Diploma learner.

To apply for this position, you will have had considerable experience in curriculum delivery and leadership and be used to working in a dynamic environment where the wellbeing of staff and students is paramount. You will be fully involved in all aspects of college life and pursue excellence in all you do.

Key attributes of the successful candidate include:

  • The ability to promote learning, and a passion for education
  • The ability to persuade and influence for the right reasons
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to our special character and co-curricular programmes
  • Having a strong interest in the students, their families and the community
  • Empathy with students and sensitivity with other cultures
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships
  • Well-organised with strong planning and organisational skills
  • Being a participating and contributing team player.

If you are interested in being a part of our college, then we would be delighted to hear from you.
