Taupo Blue Light was established in the Taupo area in 1986. Since then we have been actively involved in the Taupo Youth Community. We work closely with, and our aims & goals directly contribute to, Ta Tataou Umanga ‘Our Business’ of the New Zealand Police.

We began running disco’s, moved on to running other fun filled events and activities such as trips to Rainbows End and Kids Gone Fishin’.   We now have an emphasis on running programs and projects with a focus on wellness of our young people and empowering them to become active and contributing members of society. These programs have become so successful that we are now in a position that we are able to employ a part time (30 hours, with the possibility of it becoming full time) coordinator to assist us.
