We are a leader among independent schools in Australasia, providing a future-focused values-based independent Presbyterian education for students from 3 to 18-years-old, in 4 schools on 3 campuses across Auckland.

Commencing term 2.

We are seeking highly committed teachers with the determination to develop an outstanding student futures department. Applicants need to be dedicated and resourceful, open to learning and developing new approaches to this challenging aspect of secondary school education.

Careers advisor – university pathways

This role has a focus on educating and assisting students whose pathway is to go onto university study both in New Zealand and overseas. You will be responsible for the delivery of a range of level appropriate information programmes and will offer students group and individual guidance and support. You will help grow the provision of professional internships that allow students an insight into their future career path.

Careers advisor – trade training and school to work transition

This role focuses on the non-university sector. You will be responsible for ensuring all students understand the wide variety of industry training options that are available and you will offer group and individual assistance to students into both trade training and pathways and directly into work. This role includes arranging and overseeing work experience and placement in work preparedness courses.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate a passion and drive for helping young people. While experience in career education may be an advantage, we welcome applications from any teacher who can articulate a clear vision for best practice in this area. A willingness to explore new initiatives and a determination to lead are essential qualities.

Both roles have a normal teaching component that will be negotiated at the point of job offer.

A commitment to the special character of the college is also essential.
