A fantastic opportunity has arisen at this kindergarten for a qualified teacher with a minimum of 2 years’ experience to join our passionate and committed team.
You will be an ECE trained teacher with a New Zealand ECE qualification (or NZQA assessed equivalent), be registered as a teacher in NZ and have a current practising certificate. Either way, your commitment to bicultural practice and confidence in using ICT as a teaching tool will be vital to the great outcomes for children.
The ideal candidate would demonstrate the following abilities and dispositions:
A working understanding of emergent curriculum and Te Whāriki
Write meaningful and authentic documentation that reflects the child and their learning
Have a sense of humour as well as being passionate and enthusiastic
A warm and welcoming nature and someone who engages and welcomes whānau
Have a commitment to equity and inclusion
Love challenges, open to possibilities
A sense of responsibility and willingness to show initiative
Child-led responsive teaching
Interest in sustainable practice, knowledge and experience of Enviroschools and the outdoor environment.
